Rogue AP detection

Hy,

I'm managing a customer's wireless network with several vxWorks AP350. I've set up syslog in them so I can centralize all the information. I was very surprised when I saw this messages:

xxx.xx.xx.39 2008-09-22 15:05:19 AP-SUL-10 (Alert): Possible rogue AP 000000000000 detected: Reason "0" local0 alert

Don't you think this is strange? All the APs detect a rogue access point exactly at the same time?? There APs that are separated by at least 1Km!

Can this cause problems in the performance or stability of the network?

Regards,

Tiago Molinos
