We are in the process of changing our ssid's and re-subnetting our networks. We have 1142's, 1131's and a 5508 controller. I have everything working, but I have noticed that sometimes the clients (all windows xp sp3) will take a long time to connect to the ssid's, both the old and new ones. It almost looks like it's taking a long time to get the ip address from the dhcp server (which is the switch where the access point is connected too).
I'm tring to find out more information about some of the WLAN settings and I was wondering if anyone knew if "Learn Client IP Address" under advanced H-REAP settings in the WLAN configuration would be the cause of the slow or timing out connections?
Currently in the advanced tab of the WLAN configuration I have the following enabled:
Transferring Crash file from standby: Login to the Active WLC in HA.
From CLI: (Cisco Controller) >transfer upload datatype crash (Cisco
Controller) >transfer upload filename (Cisco
Controller) >transfer upload mode tftp (Cisco Controller) >transfer
