stability issues with 1252 access point

hi there,

I've been asked see if I can help with stability problems with the cisco 1252's used in a local stadium. They have 10 of these dotted around the stadium.

On match days the wifi signal intermittantly drops and staff are unable to connect to the wireless network. On all other days the signal seems fine.

One thought I had was that the wireless networks aren't hidden. Could there be problems potentially 100s of people trying to connect to the wifi?

I have attached info. Thanks for any input on this, cheers.

Is this GUEST Wifi?

I suspect there is interference. Have you done a specturm analysis ? Is there high retires?

A couple of questions: #1 - are all of the AP's on the same channel? the config shows the 802.11bg radio is hard set to channel 1 or 2412

Second can you do a show dot11 assoc and see how many devices are in the area.

it is possible that the coverage area is getting overly saturated.

Hope this helps.. Please rate useful posts.

Thanks for the quick replies.

Attached is the config of another AP so you can see how they are all setup.

If I run "show dott11 assoc" nothing is output.

There is a WIFI hotspot intended for guest use but I think I'm going to disable that. The main use is checking tickets via wireless PDAs. This is the main problem!

How do you run a "spectrum analysis"?

If the network is overly saturated would hifing the SSID help?

Thanks again for your help with this.
