When I try and import an Autocad file into WCS i get the following error:
Unable to convert the auto-cad file. Reason: Error while loading the auto-cad image conversion library. (no Ax2008Dll in java.library.path). Please refer online or WCS documentation for more information.
So I did and found that I am missing the following files:
The documentation says to recitify the issue: If there are any dependency issues, fix them by installing the required libraries for missing dependencies and then restart WCS.
But, for the life of me, I cannot find an installer that will fix this. I have the latest 126.96.36.199.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The solution has been added in the document:-
Solved! Go to Solution.
Thanks for the solution Pari. Did anyone else notice that they layers are no longer properly identified in the CAD import after attempting this solution? All 40 layers of the CAD drawing imported were named the same which was the name of one of the layers in catual DWG drawing. Turning off the layers doesn't seem to have any impact either which was working in an earlier version of WCS software.
This did not work for me . I located and renamed both files and restarted the server to no avail. Any other suggestions? I searched the whole computer for the files after the change, and none exist so I know I changed the right files.
Really! What did I do wrong?
I replaced the files as instructed and restarted the server.. I know this is alot to ask but could you layout what you did step by step to see if maybe I did something out of order or something?
If not I understand.
I just followed Pari Thiagasundaram advice.
Stop WCS Service.
/webnms/lib there should be 2 files as AxConverter.dll and AxConverter.lib
Rename the files as
1. AxConverter.dll to Ax2008Dll.dll2. AxConverter.lib to Ax2008Dll.lib
Your response says you replaced files. There are no files to replace?
So I went back and looked through it again and found the issue.
I don't want to admit my stupidity but I renamed the files wrong, I used 11's instead LL so Ax2008D11.dll.... instead of the correct way of Ax2008Dll.dll
