WAP antenna discovery

I use http to remotely manage about 35 WAPs (1200 series) though out the US. The WAPs have different physical antenna configurations (ie, some WAPs have one antenna and some WAPs have two antennas, some have Omni antennas, and others have patch antennas) My question, Is there a way to remotely show what kind of antenna is physically attached to the WAP? Thank you for any assistance

Re: WAP antenna discovery

No, there's not any way for the AP to know which antenna is connected. It's a manual process.

You can add a comment line to the config when you set them up, that's about as good as it gets.

All antennas look the same to the transmitter ... so there's no way to automatically determine the antenna type(s).

Good Luck
