Web auth using ISE is not happening

Hi All,

We have integrated AD with ISE . We created two SSID . One SSID is based on L2 authentication(PEAP) , One SSID is based on web auth.ISE will check with AD for username and password.

If we conect to SSID 1 , user propmted for userame and password . ISE will check with AD and authenticates the user .

If we conect to SSID 2 , user propmted for userame and password hrough browser .But  ISE is not able to  check with AD for authentication .

Should i need to do any configuration change for guest portal sequence ? It points to only internal users . Should i need to include the AD as well in default guest portal sequence ?

Thanks !

Regards,

Vijay.

Hi,

Did you add the ISE as a radius server under the SSID2 security tab?

Did you point the Guest_portal_sequence (Identity Source Management) to AD instead of Internal Users on the ISE?

Thanks for the reply Osita.

We have configured ISE as radius server in SSID security tab settings. We didn't change the guest portal sequence.

Anyway in authentication rule tab in ISE , we made default rule . Any authentication request coming to ISE , will check with AD for authentication .

Hi,

When you defined your wireless authentication rule, did you also include the guest portal sequence as part of the criteria? If you did then you must go to the Identity Source Sequence where you may have defined the guest portal sequence and remove Internal Users and add AD instead.

please define the proper  Guest_portal_sequence  (AD then internal users), try this and have a look on this configuration guide:
