WebAuth - Working intermittently

I have a guest WLAN setup and have WebAuth with the default web page being used. It seems that after a few hours, the WebAuth stops prompting users on that WLAN for the guest creds and lets them access the internet without having to log in.

I go into the WLCs (WiSM in 6500) and see all my settings are there, but it does not work.

Without changing any settings, I click the save option and it starts working again. It's almost like the settings are there but keep getting unapplied after a time. Weird... It just started doing this and had been working fine for months. I haven't changed anything so I am stumped.... Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ed

"Have you rebooted your computer?"

Seriously, if your controllers just spontaneously start acting wonky after extended service, I'd try a quick reboot and see if that clears it up.

No, I understand why you recommended that and yes, I have tried that. I was thinking the creds were cached or something, but that wasn't the case. We have the WiSM setup to always prompt when you disconnect from the wireless and re-connect.

Thanks for the idea though!

Re: WebAuth - Working intermittently

What version of code are you now running and are the clients truly guests or internal users with AD credentials using the guest access network?

Re: WebAuth - Working intermittently

Thanks for the response... Below is the info.... Also, yes it is using true webauth, not AD for the guest network. We are using the built-in internal webauth page and not the customized one etc....

Thanks!

Update your code to at least 4.2.130 and your boot loader as well.
