WLC 2006 won't boot

Greetings all!

Over the weekend one of my engineers 'broke' a 2006 WLC. He was attempting an upgrade (kinda fuzzy on the details) and now when it boots, the console shows:

[ Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB

lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists the possible

completions of a device/filename. ]

grub>

I called TAC and they want to RMA the unit but that will take 10+ days. Does anyone have any information regarding how to recover this box? I don't care about the old config, etc. but would like to not have a controller down for that period of time.

Many thanks in advance!

It is either looking for an image to boot and can't find one or the boot config has been wiped. do a google search on grub commands.

grub is the most recent & common boot loader for linux systems. If the image is still there, there may be a way to bring up the controller and hopefully recover. you don't have nbd smartnet on the controller?
