WLC 4400 and ACS 3.3(11) Radius Problem - Unknown VSA Vendor ID 14179

Hi Everyone

We have a problem with the authentication of users using the external RADIUS connection to a ACS Server.

The first time the PC is booted, the user can authenticate to the WLAN using built in XP 802.1x Client and PEAP. (Security Settings are WPA-TKIP)

On the ACS Server evcerything looks ok and it works.. so far.

When the PC is trying to reauthenticate - network access is no longer accepted. This also happends when we disable and againg enable the WLAN card.

With a Sniffer we can see that WLC is resending RADIUS packets.

When checking the RADIUS log on the ACS Server we see the follwing enties:

RDS 06/01/2006 16:01:32 E 2855 1224 (Unknown VSA Vendor ID 14179)

RDS 06/01/2006 16:01:32 E 2855 1224 (Unknown VSA Vendor ID 14179)

RDS 06/01/2006 16:01:37 E 2855 1224 (Unknown VSA Vendor ID 14179)

RDS 06/01/2006 16:01:37 E 2855 1224 (Unknown VSA Vendor ID 14179)

RDS 06/01/2006 16:01:42 E 2855 1224 (Unknown VSA Vendor ID 14179)

RDS 06/01/2006 16:01:42 E 2855 1224 (Unknown VSA Vendor ID 14179)

When Rebooting the Client it can authenticate again.

When restarting the WLC the client can authenticate again

When Restarting Services on the ACS Server the client can authenticate again.

(even if just restarting the CSAuth Service in Controlpanel it works)

Does anyone have some similar problems?

Greetings

Jarle Steffensen

The error message could be because of any unused protocol.
