WLC 4400 & AP's

It is my understanding that the Cisco WLC manages WAPs in LWAPP mode. If the WLC happens to "die", what happens to the APs? Are the APs no longer useful to new connections?

Re: WLC 4400 & AP's

If one WLC 'dies' the joined AP's will (A) switch to a secondary WLC (if previously configured) or (B) reboot and hunt to discover another WLC.

This is why it is recommended to have WLC redundancy, but it also provides load-balancing when properly designed.
