WLC 5508 and CAP3502 Primary SW Version

Hi,

I have a total of 70 CAP 3502 installed, but I am having difficulties managing one single CAP.

The problem CAP is running 7.0.94.21

All other CAP are running 7.0.98.0

7.0.94.21 is associated with the WLC, but I cannot see it on the WCS - DHCP option 241 is set (obviously).

I am not able to download 7.0.98.0 to the CAP - returns an "Unable to start pre-download" message.

Has anyone else experienced the same issues?

Thanks.

Dan

It looks like the AP has successfully joined the WLC in the past to download the LWAP image (because the AP did not boot using the "rcv" image).  But it looks like this image itself either wasn't downloaded correctly or was corrupted.

Can you check with the command "dir" on the AP?  I want to see how many IOS is there.

The information is not sufficient.

If you can console into the AP and post the screen dump maybe we can determine why.

leo,

they are lightweight access points - what information do you want me to collect from the console?

Dan

Hi Dan,

Console into the AP and reboot the AP.  During the search for the WLC, alot of information can be gathered as to the issue you have.

leo,

taken me a day or so to get down here and have a look - I have added the following;

Hmmm ... Default password should be "Cisco/Cisco".

leo,

Thanks for your help - I have been able to resolve the issue with a simple fsck
