WLC wism2 is unknown device in cisco PI 2.0

hi all,


I have cisco PI 2.0 and WLC wism2 with IOS 7.4.121 

i added the WLC to the PI and i found the WLC detected as "unknown" under "device type" in cisco PI


please advice what is the issue may be ?

Most commonly, this is caused

Most commonly, this is caused by incorrect matched SNMP communities or versions or ssh/telnet login credentials.

I already changed the SNMP community more than one time and rechecked on the username used for the SSH login and they are correct and the problem is still existing.

Delete it and try again.

Configure > controllers > Add controllers

"IP address"

Add your community string and SSH username and password


When it remains in the unknown category it generally means you are missing SNMP or SSH credits. Make sure you can ping the controller from prime as well.
