Core issue
The secondary PIX Firewall unit is not correctly cabled to the primary unit.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, perform this procedure:
- Verify that the failover cable is inserted correctly, primary side to the primary PIX and secondary side to secondary PIX.
- Power off both units.
- Power on the primary unit. Wait for a couple minutes.
- Power on the secondary unit.
- If the problem persists, replace the serial failover cable.
