Failover cable status shows that the secondary unit is powered off

Core issue

The secondary PIX Firewall unit is not correctly cabled to the primary unit.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, perform this procedure:

1. Verify that the failover cable is inserted correctly, primary side to the primary PIX and secondary side to secondary PIX.      
2. Power off both units.      
3. Power on the primary unit. Wait for a couple minutes.      
4. Power on the secondary unit.      
5. If the problem persists, replace the serial failover cable.
