The PIX 525 Firewall comes with a restricted license and with an unrestricted license. Both are described here.
PIX 525 Firewall (with restricted license):
Requires a minimum of 128 MB of RAM
Supports 25 VLANS
Supports a maximum of 6 physical interfaces
Supports 140 K concurrent connections
PIX 525 Firewall (with unrestricted license):
Requires a minimum of 512 MB of RAM
Supports 100 VLANS
Supports a maximum of 10 physical interfaces
Supports 280 K concurrent connections
The PIX 525 Firewall supports all available versions of the PIX software.
