The ASDM 5.x creates duplicate network object groups in the configuration when FWSM with software 3.x is used

Core issue

This happens while you create a network group to be used in firewall access control lists (ACLs).

Note: These duplicate object groups appear in the global objects section under multiple firewall interfaces.

Resolution

This is an expected behavior that the firewall services module  shows.

Complete the following steps in order to manually remove the duplicate object groups.

1. Remove the object.
   
   
2. Re-add the object.
   
   
3. Refresh the Adaptive Security Device Manager (ASDM).
