The Login to cluster 'localhost' failed error message is received when an attempt is made to login to the Cisco CNS Access Registrar. The login fails.

If the max fd in /etc/system does not allow the aregcmd to work, this error message is received:

Logging in to localhost
400 Login failed
Login to cluster 'localhost' failed
dummy9i atls008 /opt/CSCOar/bin >

Resolution

For a workaround,

Remove the max fd lines and reboot. Comment out the following lines in the /etc/system file:

• * set rlim_fd_cur=8192
  
  
• * set rlim_fd_max=8192
