The "ERROR: % Invalid input detected at '^' marker" error message is received on the Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA)

Core issue

This error message appears when you replicate the configuration from the primary to secondary firewall.

This error message indicates that the management-access command on the failover link interface is an invalid command and removes it from the mate.

For a workaround, make sure that everything on both ASAs (primary and secondary) has the same configuration as it will replicate commands to the standby unit.

Refer to Configuring Failover for more detials on the failover setup on the ASA Firewall.
