Cat 1900 - How to find if Std Edition or Enterprise

I understand the serial # will have an "A" for std and "EN" for Enterprise. Is there any way I can find this electronically? I also understand that I can load EN software to a std (A) switch but only the std features will be operational . So can I trust the following?

Cisco Catalyst 1900/2820 Enterprise Edition Software

Can this be achieved via SNMP?

Try polling the sysDescr object to see if you get the version details.
