Hi,
DFM actually does not collect configs from devices, it is used for events and alerts.
You would have to use RME portion of LMS for config collection. With this you can setup RME to collect config changes immediately if you are sending a config change syslog message to CiscoWorks. This would trigger RME to then go out and pull the config.

Actually in RME 4.0 is automatic by default.
If RME receives a syslog message from a managed device, then it will perform a configuration archive to get the latest up to date configuration.
As a test, you can insert a new loopback interface and then in RME GUI, Config Mgmt > Archive Mgmt > Out-of-Sync Summary to check the devices who have different startup from running configuration.
You will see there the device with the new loopback interface.
