Help on Pix 501 vpn connections

Hello I need help with a situation that is being reported to me. we have a pix 501 firewall that had a single vpn user name and passowrd for users to connect and we changed it so that each person now has the ability to connect with their own username and password, about 12 users. The problem is since we did this they are complaining that sometimes they cannot connect and have to try a few times to get a connection. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

try to do a further research on a dead peer detection DPD concept, and try to implement it, it will resolve your issue.
