I am in the process of doing a project for my line manager which involves finding the BTU ( Heat dissipation ) of servers, switches , catalist etc.. can u point me out to the right direction where i can find this on the Cisco products.. i have been searching but got only a few... cant find for 3550 series( 3550-48-SMI) please help.

Hey Raj

Have you tried checking the data sheets of the respective devices which can give you clear details ? AFAIK these details are bit difficult to obtain since they are very much unique and can be obtained from the respective CISCO SE or ME.

I dont have any details of the devices as they are all located in the Data Centre and i am in a different building. Some of the BTU I have found from your website but some i cant.

I will keep searching.

Power consumption for 3550-48:

Catalyst 3550-48: 110W, 375 Btus per hour
