I have only one VMS software and want to monitor all my pixes and IDSs with this software, but only one pix and one IDS are in the same site I have the VMS, the others are in different WAN segments trough a MPLS VPN (provided by the carrier).
How do I configure the administration for these equipments remotly?
Is there an URL where I can get the configuration example necessary to Pixes, IDSs and VMS?
In adition, Isn´t there any problem to report to the VMS trough the MPLS VPN that already exists? Don´t it cause any problem? Do I have to ask a special configuration to my carrier?

The best place to look for this information would be the documentation and the support pages. The documentation for VMS is located at http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/cw2000_b/vpnman/. The VMS support page is located at http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/browse/psp_view.pl?p=Software:CiscoWorks_VPN_Security_Management_Solution.

In adition to my question, There´s another issue I would like to solve. In the case I manage other IDSs remotly, what happens with alarms when the site where my VMS is goes down. Can remote IDSs keep the alarms and when link comes up again they send all alarms they kept in buffer? Or I lose alarms?
Also, if I lose alarms, what could I implement to solve this problem, because I have only one VMS in only one site.
Thanks,
