Monthly Statistics

I've just installed our first ASA 5510 on site and so far everything seems to be going well. Phew. Unfortunately I can't seem to figure out how to do something that I think should be really simple:

I want to see statistics for how much data passes over the outside interface each month.

I've enabled history which I think should give me five days worth of data but I don't fancy the idea of logging in every few days to pull the data out when all I want is a single headline number. So, am I missing something really obvious?

Cheers

The probelm with this approach is that if the ASA gets rebooted the counters get cleared and so you lose the headline number.

An alternative is to enable SNMP and then pump the data to an SNMP monitoring tool.

It then makes it easy to compare stats from month to month.

Cheers
