qos on a 50mbit connection

hello,

we want to connect two locations with a 50mbit-connection from a provider;

on one location we have a cat6509 with msfc2;

on the second location we have a router 7204

we want to guarantee that the ip-voice-connection between the two locations would always get 5mbit;

on the router we can define cbwfq/llq;

but what is the best to configure on the cat6509/msfc (no support for cbwfq/llq)

is there anybody with a good idea

regards

alex

Re: qos on a 50mbit connection

You can use some of these QoS features like Weighted Random Early Detection (WRED), Weighted Round Robin (WRR), and tail drop. Guess you were looking for this.

I think , the link should give some insight into the solution, http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/tech/tk543/tk544/technologies_tech_note09186a0080094ad2.shtml

here , you can reserve whatever bandwidth you want for the Strict Priority Queue so your voice connection will get the same guarantted, or you could do RSVP.
