VMS 2.3 Report Running Icon Error

I had a pending report (with status: running) in my IPSMC 2.1. The report had been running for almost a week so I assumed that it is not reponding anymore. I deleted the pending report but the "report running icon" in the top right corner of the window is still there. Does it mean that the report I deleted is still running at the background? Is this a bug? Please help. Thanks.
