Hi there...
anyone have or know where to get a MIB for the VPN 3000 box?
I want to see if I, through SNMP, can trigger the box to tftp or ftp the config to a remote server for backup purposes. Has anyone tried anything like that with this product?
Thanks,

All of Ciscos published mibs are here Ciscos MIBs are here http://www.cisco.com/public/sw-center/netmgmt/cmtk/mibs.shtml but I dont see any for the concentrators yet. Fairly new acquisition so I would guess they are still working on those.

True, but not for VPN3000. VPN3000 MIBs are available at: http://www.cisco.com/kobayashi/sw-center/vpn/3000/

can not be done (yet) better luck writing a perl script that uses the net::telnet module
you can telnet to the concentrator; tell it to
tftp file CONFIG to where you want..
I run this nightly on mine.

Hi Jesper, The VPN 3000 doesn't support SNMP configuration SETs . As of Release 3.5 it does support full configuration SET management via XML which runs securely over HTTPS and Telnet/SSH.

Nelson,
Where can I find documentation on management via XML?
Thanks

Mike, what is your email address. I can drop the XML information on Cisco Special File Access and send you the info.
Thanks.
