active dlsw circuits dropped wehen adding dlsw bridge-group statement

what cause could be given, that my active dlsw circuits have been dropped when i added the dlsw bridge-group statement?

config before was:

source-bridge ring-group 100

!

dlsw local-peer peer-id 10.0.0.1

dlsw remote-peer 0 tcp 10.0.1.1

!

int TokenRing0

source-bridge 1 1 100

source-bridge spanning 7

!

bridge-group 7 protocol ibm

show dlsw circuits shows two active ciscuits coming from that TokenRing to a Destination behind the dlsw remote-peer

when the following statements are added:

bridge-group 1 protocol dec

bridge-group 1 hello-time 10

!

int TokenRing1

bridge-group 1

!

dlsw bridge-group 1

the two active circuits dropped and never came up. circuits from the second (transparent) Tokenring to a destination behind the dlsw remote-peer came up.

Re: active dlsw circuits dropped wehen adding dlsw bridge-group

Using the bridge-group on token ring for DLSW is not a supported configuration. You should be configuring source route bridging for token ring as you originally had it configured.

Bridge-group is supported for ethernet but only for IEEE not DEC protocols.
