BSTUN Local?

At my work, we are trying to route raw serial data through a 2691 with 12.4 Enterprise IOS on it. We have found documentation on STUN Local configuration, but not BSTUN Local. Is it possible to do this? The data is non-IP, and we'd like to only use one router. Reason for doing this is to basically act as an A-B switch for many ports, and control it via SNMP. Also, the routers are already in use for other things, it would save a lot of money to do it this way. The serial data is RS-530. Need some guidance, thanks.

Re: BSTUN Local?

Hi Jalon,

Local switching, sending traffic from one serial port to another within one router, is not supported with BSTUN. I don't know what to advise, other than using two routers.

Rgds, Dan
