Cisco Local Director redundancy

I would like to know if the Cisco Local Director redundancy feature can work between separate physical locations.

The two Local Director for redundancy needs to have the serial failover cable connected to each other for the heart beats. So your Local Director redundacy wiil not work even if they are more than few feet away.
