EC to server via 2 2248TP to a single 7009

We're looking at purchasing server and NAS connectivity for a new data center project. We're planning on buying a single NX7009 for the core and our VAR originally quoted us 3850s to use for server/NAS connectivity. But now I'm thinking of just using 2248s FEXs (cheaper) but my question is, can I create an EC between an edge port on one fex and an edge port on another to the end devices? As in the (crude) pic below. We're planning on getting 

Sup2s with the 7k. I've seen some posts similar to this, but they all involved 2 7ks...

This toplogy is not supported on N7K. You cannot have Active/Active EC from Host to 2K's in this design.

Only the active/standby connections are supported from the server.

Thanks. After posting, I found this diagram that answers my question. Sure would be nice to be able to do though.
