edge or normal ports on server vpc member

hello,

i read that should a switch be vpc member of parent Nexus pair, the parent Nexus pair ports should be normal ports.

however, if a server is to be vpc members of Nexus pair, should the vpc ports be normal or edge ports?

This is correct, and it's no different than normal best practices without vpc.

When you connect a server to a switch, that switchport should be configured as 'edge' or 'portfast'

When you connect a switch to a switch, those switchports should be configured as 'normal' or portfast disabled.

for the vpc peer-link, the mode should be network and not normal, because of bridge assurance and the bpdu forwarding that will happen from the secondary to the primary.

so there is no difference from normal practise, hence edge/portfast on server port, even on vpc member ports;

network/bridge assurance on vpc peer; and normal for others.
