Hi guys,
We have just upgraded one of our ESX hosts cu 5.1 firmware (the others are still at 4.1 ) . Everything was fine after the upgrade and the VEM was back in the VSM as module 3. After that we restarted the ESX host and the VEM never came back online in the VSM.
The VSM version is 4.2(1)SV2(1.1a) . The error seen in Vcenter is : " The VSphere Distributed Switch configuration on some hosts differed from that of the Vcenter Server" as you can see in the attached pictures.
The status of the VEM in VCenter Networking tab is " Out Of Sync" and we have an option of " Rectify vSphere DVS on Host" but it is not working.
Any inputs are highly appreciated.

PS: We tried everything : manual install/unninstall, reboot of the VSM .etc. The only thing that works is the reinstall of the ESXI image but after the first install we are back in the same situation.
