How do I set up a mirroring port?

<p>I have a Catalyst 6509 with 2 Sup and 2 MSFC2.

<p>I am trying to set up a port to mirror a vlan but unable.

<p>Here are my commands:

<p>Catalyst_Router1(config-if)#in vlan 100

<p>Catalyst_Router1(config-if)#shutdown

<p>Catalyst_Router1(config-if)#snoop interface ?

% Unrecognized command

marker.

<p>Catalyst_Router1(config-if)#snoop

^

<p>interface 4/24 direction both

<p>% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

If you are using Cat-OS or IOS itn the 6509?

a)cat-OS:

For the cat-OS use:

set span vlan dest mod/dest port ?

...and you will have some more possibilites of parameters to use.

B)IOS

monitor session x

monitor session x source vlan YYY

monitor session x dest intf mod/port
