Incorrect Answers in Chapter 5 of Official CCDP Book?
I just finished working through the Enterprise Data Center Design chapter in the third edition of the official CCDP book and there are a couple of answers that seem off. I was wondering if I could get a sanity check?
3. What are the characteristics of a Layer 2 looped design model? (Choose two.)
a. VLANs do not extend to the aggregation layer. b. Layer 2 services from the aggregation layer such as NIC teaming are supported. c. Redundancy can be supported using a trunk between the access switches. d. VLANs are extended to the aggregation layer e. STP is not needed for reliable operation. f. All uplinks are active, and none are blocking.
My answers were B and C. The correct answers are C and D. My thought is B, C, and D are all correct. How would NIC teaming not be supported? Everything is in the same L2 domain.
5. What are the characteristics of a Layer 3 access design model? (Choose three.)
a. VLANs do not extend to the aggregation layer. b. VLANs are extended to the aggregation layer. c. All uplinks are active, and none are blocking. d. Layer 2 server adjacency is supported across access switches e. Layer 2 server adjacency is not supported across access switches.
I answered A, C, and E. The book lists the correct answers as A, C, and D. How could servers peer across access switches is a L3 access layer design?
