I have a collapse core/dist to access and the core will be for both the datacenter and users closets. Redundant N7k VPC-Cores to active-active VPC N5k/N2k for the DC server farm at L2 while to the users, I am debating L3 running OSPF to C6k, C4k, 375X. My assumptions are:
diff btwn ECMP and VPC in terms of the hashing? Are they both stable and which one is more effective? pros vs cons? Should I go with L2 to Users is basically what I am unsure of
What hashing should I should I use? I keep reading to hash on the L4 source-destination port level.
With L3, I want to avoid tweaking the ospf timers...I will consider tweaking the hello/dead but heard issues with the SPF and LSA timers...any thoughts?
