Message on CIP2 :subchannel timeout interval

Dear Sirs,

my 7500 reports the following notice:

Jul 10 20:07:41: %CIP2-0-MSG: slot1 %CTA-0-INACTIVE: PA0 CTA C510-10

reset after being inactive for 180 seconds

which, according to the doc is a problem on the host (see below).

Does anyone know a command that is able to increase this subchannel timeout interval ? The problem is that I have to restart all my subchannels throu a Shut/no Shut of the CIP2, otherwise the router will not try the connection to that specific subchannel again.

Explanation This subchannel has been inactive for longer than the subchannel timeout interval. Most likely the host has been halted or the virtual

telecommunications access method (VTAM) has been terminated by a Z NET, CANCEL command.

Recommended Action Restart the virtual telecommunications access method (VTAM)/HOST and activate the Cisco Multipath Channel (CMPC)-Transmission

Group (TG) major node.

Unfortunately, the answer to your question is no, there is no way to incease this timeout period. Basically you should neve see it occur if everything is running normally on the host. Terminating VTAM with a Z NET,CANCEL is not exactly a recommended procedure.
