Hi Eyal,

Few troubleshooting steps -->

1) Can you check 'show vlan' in vsm to see if vlans are active?

2) Since it's mode-L2 (recommendation is L3 Mode), try checking if Control vlan is configured in upstream. From vsm, you can use the command 'mping broadcast'. If you get response from modules apart from 1 & 2, your vlan's are fine. If not, check your upstream. To avoid the same use L3 mode.

Hi Kishan, thanks for the quick response

i'm getting response only from 1 ESX

Hello,

Trace the connection between your vmnic3 and the VSM's control interface - make sure that the control VLAN (VLAN 201) is allowed/not blocked in this.

If possible, explain the network topology between the VSM and the ESX host.

Thanks,

Shankar

Hi, I'm not sure how to trace the vlan

i'm attaching a jpg with my diagram

Hello,

What is the physical switch that's connected to vmnic3 of both the blades?

Thanks,

Shankar
