I have verbal confirmation that the 2000 FEX can now be directly connected to the 7000s but I cannot find a link or release notes to that affect. If anybody has a link please provide it.

It's not released yet. I believe it is currently in beta.

FEX 2248 will be supported in the next release (Cairo) on the Nexus 7000 32-port 10Gig module. Nexus 2232 will follow later. You may expect Cairo to be released in October 2010.

Is it supported in 5.1.1 release?

Stefano

Yes, but only when the 2248TP is connected to a 32 SFP+  10G Module (the on with 12 in the name), it does not work on the 1/10 G Module

Hi Omkar,

when 7k support 2232? I heard that will be in the next release, but when it arrive to us?

Thanks!

Heine Melo.

in few months....

In current software NX-OS N7K

I have a few question.

1) Can I connect "HOST" to one FEX 2248 with Port-channel ?

2) Can I connect "HOST" to two FEX 2248 with vPC ?

Thank you.

Hi,

Yes, you can connect in both cases.
