Nexus 2k FE

We are about to invest in a Cisco UCS B series, Nexus 5k and four Nexus 2ks. The N2k switches will be used for all of our existing physical servers, 1GB storage arrays, and an existing IBM Bladecenter that has eight Cisco Catalyst switches installed......Top of Rack design.

Does anyone know if it will be possible to connect all 32 Catalyst ports to the N2k FEs?

You can.  But be aware/warned that BPDU Guard is PERMANENTLY enabled on the Nexus switches.  You will NOT be able to disable BPDU Guard.

Before you connect your Catalyst switches to the Nexus, you need to disable STP on the Catalyst switch ports facing the Nexus.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Each Catalyst switch in the IBM is really just a port channel with four 1G ports. Will I still be able to use a port channel from the catalyst to N2k?

Yes.

Thanks!!
