Nexus 5020 w/ 2148T

Hey All,

I can't seem to find the answer to this in the configuration guides.

I have a Nexus 5020 with 8 2148T extenders...do I need to create 8 FEXs?

fex associate 100

fex associate 101

fex associate 102

fex associate 103

and so on...

Also how do the intefaces show up on the 5020?

gi1/1-48

gi2/1-48

gi3/1-48

gi4/1-48

and so on...?

Hi Scott.

Yes, each 2148T will need it's own fex associate.

The interfaces will be for e.g. fex 100:

ethernet 100/1/1-48

And you may want to make your first FEX connection starting with port 17 on the 5020.

That way you can use the first 16 dual speed 1G/10G ports on the 5020 for Gig if you need to ( ILO switches, ... )
