Hi Experts,

There is nothing been displayed When I run the commands:

Nexus# show running-config

---no output---

Nexus#show startup

--no output--

Nexus# version running is 5.0(3)

Is this bug?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have correct role assigned to your acount??

Nexus 7000 has RBAC (role Based Access Control)

Do following and see what role you have.

show role

Hi Krun,

Yes I do have the correct role assigned to my account and the same works fine on another nexus box which is running the same version but not this.

Any other suggestion?

Thanks

Fari

Are you in the correct VDC?

Did you plug into the console port and watch the Sup engine startup? Did it startup without errors?

What is the output of the "show module" command?

Hi Fariha

How are you connected to your n7k - have you tried to run this commands from console?

Try to configure cfollwowing:

terminal log-all

then run "show runing-config"

and then check "show account log" to see what is the result of running this command.

Hi Fariha,

Can you send the output of  "?" and "show ?" commands, also do you use radius or local authentication, and how about other users?

Best Regards,

Use the copy running-config startup-config command to save your configuration changes in the running configuration to the startup configuration in persistent memory. When a device reload or switchover occurs, the saved configuration is applied.

This command does not require a license.

Examples
This example shows how to save the running configuration to the startup configuration:

switch# copy running-config startup-config
[########################################] 100%
show running-config

Displays the running configuration.

show running-config diff

Displays the differences between the running configuration and the startup configuration.

show startup-config

Displays the startup configuration.

write erase

Erases the startup configuration in the persistent memory.
