Nexus 70000 SSDP Protocol Support (For SAMSUNG ALL SHARE Application Support)
In the current setup we have 2 nexus 7000 switches (Software 5.2.5) running in HSRP and working as the core switches. At the access side we have stack of Catalyst 3750 switches connected to both the nexus switches.
Currently we are deploying the Samsung ALLSHARE application in the network wherein the laptop installed with Allshare application is discovering the the similar capable devices (DLNA capable) devices in the same VLAN with SSDP protocol and once the device the discovered, the laptop video/pictures can be displayed on the discovered devices like Samsung TV..
We have tried this setup on the catalyst 3750 switch stack and the same is working fine within same VLAN..When we are connecting the Laptop and the Samsung TV in same vlan on nexus 7K directly, the laptop is not able to discover the Samsung TV and because of the same further communication is not happening. (Samsung TV is able to get the IP address from the DHCP server and the laptop running Allshare is able to ping the IP address of the Samsung TV)
