We have Hyper-V hosts connected to N5K switches. The servers have 10g Qlogic CNA's installed with teaming. In Solarwinds we have thousands of transmit errors being reported on the server NICs and on switch side I am seeing a few output drops, but no other errors.
I would like to focus on the switch side for now. What could be causing the output drops? I have read that it could be caused by jumbo packets arriving at the interface and not being flagged as Jumbo but the NICs on these interfaces use the standard MTU size. We do not currently experience any problems but this is still something that I have been asked to get to the bottom of.
