Sup720 Causes 6513 to Shut Down

Hi

We are trying to setup a 6513 with a Sup720. After 8 Minutes, the Chassis Shuts Down - The Red LED on both PSU indicating "Output Failure" lids up.

Chassis runs fine With Sup 2.

What could be the cause, How to Fix?

Thanx

The Sup 720 requires the high output fan tray. It will shutdown as you describe without it.

Re: Sup720 Causes 6513 to Shut Down

Hi,

Though its not generally talked about the PSU comes in various capacities and I believe that atleast 2500W PSUs are required for the Sup 720s.

Please check your present PSUs and determine if you require a PSU upgradation as mentioned by the other user,

HTH,

Kindly rate if it helps,

Kind Regards,

Wilson Samuel
