VEMs not showing in N1KV

The "vem status" on each ESXi host states that VEM modules are installed. When I go to the 1KV and do a "show mod" I do not see them as being registered.

N1KV-VSM-01# show mod
Mod  Ports  Module-Type                       Model               Status
---  -----  --------------------------------  ------------------  ------------
1    0      Virtual Supervisor Module         Nexus1000V          active *
2    0      Virtual Supervisor Module         Nexus1000V          ha-standby

Mod  Sw                  Hw
---  ------------------  ------------------------------------------------
1    4.2(1)SV2(2.1a)     0.0
2    4.2(1)SV2(2.1a)     0.0

Mod  Server-IP        Server-UUID                           Server-Name
---  ---------------  ------------------------------------  --------------------
1    10.170.50.50     NA                                    NA
2    10.170.50.50     NA                                    NA

* this terminal session
N1KV-VSM-01# 2013 Nov  7 14:34:27 N1KV-VSM-01 %VMS-5-DVS_HOSTMEMBER_INFO: A host with name=[srvlavesx002.mwp.corp.com] and uuid=[c4b52629-fbe7-e211-0000-000000000005] is added to the dvs. The host is not found  as a module in the VSM configuration.

I am not sure what the error is. How can I verify that my Control VLANs are working properly?
