What is max number of subinterfaces that can be supported on a Cisco 7507 with HSA?

An earlier forum entry states that a reasonable number of subinterfaces for RSP4 cards would be 1000 to 1500 subinterfaces. We have a router with dual 64MB RSP4 cards with 30MB free memory, with 400 HSSI subinterfaces (200 per each HSSI card).

Should we expect any timing problems with an HSA card failure or recovery?

You can find the maximum number of subinterfaces allowed per platform, it is an IOS version dependant. The maximum number of interfaces a router can handle depends on the maximum number of IDBs it can use.
