Hey guys,
Number one rule!: "Always", i repeat "ALWAYS" take a backup of all your configuration of both your active and standby pgw because you never know when there can be a network outage. If that takes place, then oh boy you are in trouble!!. Your configuration files can get lost which cannot "be replaced" ie if you dont have a backup.
Well i am just going to put a simple approach to backup all the data.
Following is Cisco PGW2200Â backup procedure
First switch to mgcusr as PGW related task only can perform "mgcusr"
su – mgcusr
run this utility
mgcbackup <hit enter>
it will show you menu with certain options.
if you want to schedule a weekly backup then follow these steps
Backup Main Menu

Note: to exit the script at anytime use ctrl-c
1. Backup Now
2. Backup Schedule
3. Backup History
4. Exit
Selection: 2
Backup Schedule Menu

1. Add a scheduled backup
2. Delete a scheduled backup
3. Delete all scheduled backups
4. List scheduled backups
5. Return to Main Menu
6. Exit
Selection: 1
Add a Scheduled Backup

Enter the name of the backup: weekly
Enter the directory to place the backup file (default=/dev/rmt/0): /opt
Enter the number of retries (default=0): 2
Enter the time between retries (default=30 seconds):
Enter the day of the week (default=everyday): wednesday
Enter the time (HH:MM): 06:00
Save this scheduled backup (y/n)? y

if you want to backup now
select option 1 from main menu

Start the backup (y/n)? y
Make sure you do this during "low" traffic time since we dont want to increase the CPU usage during backup on your cal processing.
