Cannot access a share on NSS-4000 from Windows 2008R2

Hi there!

I have a NSS-4000 and would like to use it to backup my VM and other folder. My problem is that I cannot access the SHARE from a W2K8R2 server while it work perfectly from a W7 work station.

I get the message:

Windows cannot access NHQS-NSS4000 (the name of my device) The device is into the domain and I can ping it.

I have tried using the FQDM to connect ....same prob. FW has been upgraded to ver. 1.21

Someone can help?

Thanks,

Jean P.

Jean,

Is the NSS4000 part of your domain or is it a standalone server?

If it's not part of domain then when trying to log into NSS use the hostname\user and password or hostname+user and password.  "Hostname of NSS"

Also you need to make sure that your local policy--> Security options --> network security:LAN Manager authenication level " change this to "LM and NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated"

Hi,

Thanks for the answer. The NSS4000 is into the domain as the Windows 2008 R2 server. I did set

the LAN MANAGER authentication level (through a GPO) to what you proposed but no success.

Any other idea?

TX,

Jean
