This is really due to the Windows CIFs environment. Windows to Windows PC is the fastest. Our performance is actually very good compared to our competition. All non-Windows based devices such as a linux based NAS will see the same type of issues.
You can see a third party performance report at www.tolly.com Search for NSS6100. This will compare our performance versus our two major competitors. Report is attached as well.
The Tolly report is really just a comparison. You need to run the same HW configuration and setup against all cases to be fair. It's not an absolute value. That is why the HW test setup and test commands are provided in the Tolly report.
